NumisMedia Weekly Market Report
Legend Auctions Hosts Regency 38 Live Webcast
May 11, 2020
With the coin show circuit paused for the last few months, the auctions houses have been able to carry on through the internet with live webcasts. This week Legend Rare Coin Auctions hosts the Regency Auction 38 with their usual array of high quality rare coins. The Blue Hill Collection contains numerous rarities from the New Orleans Mint including Morgan Dollars and $20 Gold Liberties. One of the top highlights could be the 1854 O $20 Gold in PCGS XF40. The current Market value for this coin is $225,000 with just 3 coins certified in this grade. There are only 22 coins grading higher with AU58 the highest certified. Most recently, at the end of 2019, an XF45 sold at auction for $240,000.
