NumisMedia Weekly Market Report
1804 Dollar Brings $2.6+ Million
June 18, 2018
The Heritage Auctions sale was a major attraction at the just completed Long Beach Expo. The highlighted 1804 Dollar in PCGS PR62 drew an amazing high bid of $2,640,000, although some may consider this a bargain, it was last sold in 2013 for nearly $3.9 million. Also highlighted was a 1793 Chain Cent AMERICA with Periods in PCGS MS65 Brown CAC that realized $990,000. This coin also sold for less than its last sale; back in 2012 it brought $1,380,000. Both of these coins sold in previous Heritage Auctions. Listed below are some of the other highlights from this Long Beach Sale.
1793 Chain Cent with Periods PCGS MS65 BN CAC sold for $990,000 at the Heritage Auctions Long Beach U.S. Coins Signature Sale in Long Beach, California, June 14-17, 2018
