Stack's Bowers Auctions Unique 1873 CC No Arrows Dime at $1.84 Million

     The Philadelphia ANA produced some very interesting results from the bourse and from the Stack’s Bowers Auction. Many of the coins sold have not been seen on the market for quite a while. For sure, the highlight of the Stack’s Bowers auction was the 1873 CC No Arrows Seated Dime, graded MS65 by PCGS. This was part of the Battle Born Collection and realized $1,840,000. This coin has a mysterious past but we do know it came out of the Louis E. Eliasberg Sr. Collection. There were a total of 111 Carson City coins in the Battle Born Collection and many of them attracted very competitive bidding.
