Prices Advance for Rare Coins

Whether it is at a major auction or any of the coin shows around the country, dealers and collectors are paying more for coins they seek. Wholesale prices are on the rise for most coins in the 1800’s and prior to the 1930’s.

This is quite evident in Standing Liberty Quarters where collectors avidly seek just about any mint state coins that do not exhibit much in the way of distracting marks for the grade and have some eye appeal. When you get to the highest grades certified, the Registry collectors will pay as much as needed to acquire these rare issues.

Bust Half Dollars continue to be very strong at higher levels. This area sat stagnant for a long time but has been on the rise for at least the last year. Just about all dates and grades will sell if they are accurately graded in conjunction with the price.
