NumisMedia is proud to offer a new upgraded format of our Monthly Fair Market Value Price Guide beginning with the October issue. Now we’ve upgraded our Online FMV Price Guide as well. We have increased the grades per page from 5 to 10 and added many cosmetic enhancements for easier price comparisons and to simply save you time. Our online prices are now easier to print with our new no frames version. We hope you enjoy these enhancements.
The NumisMedia Online Fair Market Value Price Guide (all grades, Good through MS70) no longer requires a password and username.
The reduced overall size of the new NumisMedia Monthly FMV Price Guide is more compact and easier to carry while maintaining its readability. We have added the MS68 grade to all series and now list Standing Liberty Quarters, including Full Head. We now report the ups and downs of the market with bold for increases and italics for declines based on values from the last issue. Most advertising is now located on the back pages and features full color. The Monthly FMV Price Guide has 36 pages of VF through MS68 listings of the most recent Fair Market Value prices for coins offered by dealers in the numismatic community.

The 2008 NumisMedia Annual FMV Price Guide is now available. If for day to day use throughout the year or a great addition to any library, every numismatist will need one.
The NumisMedia Annual Series are yearly publications with concise listings of Fair Market Value prices for coins offered by dealers in the numismatic community. The Fair Market Value prices listed represent accurately graded, sight-seen coins that are accepted by a majority of the dealers across the country.
The NumisMedia Annual FMV Price Guide, published every January, has every grade from Good through MS70 in every U.S. series. Over 150 pages.
The NumisMedia Moderns Annual Price Guide, published every July/August, has every grade from Good through MS70 covering all of the U.S. modern coinage series, and includes 50 pages of pricing information.

Dealers Enjoy Leisurely Fourth

The Fourth of July delivered a somewhat slow week for the coin market. Wholesale activity was down last week as most dealers took the opportunity to spend time with their families or just simply wind down. Most business on the teletypes appeared to be related to bullion with Gold and Silver moving higher throughout the week. However, this morning the metals are down considerably. Make sure you check current prices before completing any trades.
This summer is beginning to reveal some slight softness in several areas of the market. We recently mentioned that the more common coins require discounts to attract buyers. However, we are now noticing that some of the rarities are not bringing as much of a premium as they had been over the last year. It appears that some of the competition for early rarities has departed, although we believe this is temporary. Recent transactions indicate various Seated Halves and Dollars have dropped just slightly as buyers are looking for bargains.
Nevertheless, there are still plenty of advances this week in the HD Wholesale Dealer Market Price Guide to remind us that serious collectors are still in the market when certain coins are available. Early Dollars show a multitude of increases for most dates in the series. Even the dates that remain unchanged are steady at present levels. There are simply not enough accurately graded coins available in today’s market. Deep Mirror Prooflike Morgan Dollars continue to be on the radar with many advances in high grades that have low census numbers. There are some mighty strong collectors in pursuit of the finest available dates.
